Norman Lamps ships orders across the United States and worldwide from our warehouse in St. Charles, Illinois. This page explains how long orders take to process, how shipping is priced at checkout, your pickup and carrier options, where we ship, and how to track your package.

Order Processing & Handling Time

Most in‑stock orders are picked, packed, and shipped within 1–2 business days of being placed. Orders placed after 3:00 PM Central Time, on weekends, or on holidays begin processing on the next business day.

If an item on your order is temporarily out of stock or is a special‑order product, we'll contact you with an estimated ship date before the order goes out.

Shipping Rates — Calculated in Real Time

We don't use flat‑rate guesswork. When you enter your delivery address at checkout, our system measures your specific order — calculating real package sizes and weights — and requests live rates directly from the carriers through their APIs. You'll see current, accurate options and choose whichever works best for you.

  • Real‑time carrier rates — the actual current price to ship your order to your address via UPS and USPS, with ground delivery typically in 2–5 business days.
  • SPEE‑DEE Delivery — for Illinois and many surrounding states, SPEE‑DEE often provides especially low‑cost regional delivery, including on many large and oversized items. It appears automatically at checkout when it's available for your address.
  • Free Shipping — many qualifying items ship free (typically 3–8 business days). Free shipping is tied to specific products, so it's offered automatically at checkout when your cart qualifies.
  • Oversized, long & freight items — large items are measured and rated automatically too. For very large or freight shipments, we may follow up with a custom quote for your approval.

Free Local Pickup (Will Call)

Local to the area? You're welcome to pick up your order in person at our St. Charles warehouse — it's completely free, and it can save a great deal on bulky or oversized products that are expensive to ship.

Select Local Pickup / Will Call at checkout. Most orders placed by 4:30 PM Central Time are ready for same‑day pickup, and we'll let you know as soon as yours is ready.

Ship on Your Own Carrier Account (Collect)

Already have a UPS, FedEx, or DHL account? You can have your order billed directly to your own carrier account. At checkout, choose “Collect Shipping,” select your carrier and service, and enter your account number — your shipping total will be $0.00 and the order will ship collect on your account.

If it's your first time shipping collect with us, we'll verify the account before your order ships, which may add a short delay. Returning collect customers ship without re‑verification.

Where We Ship

We ship throughout the United States — including Alaska, Hawaii, and Puerto Rico — and to many international destinations. Rates are calculated live at checkout, exactly as described above.

  • United States — all 50 states plus Puerto Rico, with live carrier rates shown at checkout.
  • International — where our checkout can determine a live rate for your destination, you'll see it at checkout. If your country isn't configured for online rating, or a rate can't be determined automatically, choose “Contact for Quote”: complete your order and we'll prepare a shipping quote for your approval before the order ships. Any duties, taxes, or customs fees are the responsibility of the recipient.

Tracking Your Order

As soon as your order ships, we'll email you a tracking number. You can also view your order status and tracking at any time from your account's order history. If you checked out as a guest and need help locating a shipment, just contact us with your order number.
