Most commercial offices, warehouses, retail stores, and institutional buildings in the U.S. use 277V for lighting, which means standard 120V bulbs won't work without a transformer. These drop straight into 277V fixtures and operate reliably across the full voltage range, simplifying installation and eliminating a potential point of failure. Available in PAR20 and PAR38 sizes.
