The Norman Lamps LED-T812-48-BLB is a 12.5W LED T8 Black Light Blue tube designed as a direct replacement for 32W T8 BLB fluorescent lamps. Operating at 120-277V, this Type B (ballast bypass) LED T8 tube works with direct AC voltage, eliminating the existing fluorescent ballast entirely and reducing both energy consumption and maintenance requirements. The tube emits ultraviolet-A light at a peak wavelength of 370nm, producing the characteristic deep blue-violet glow that causes fluorescent and UV-reactive materials to illuminate while minimizing unwanted visible light output.

This 48-inch LED T8 tube supports two direct-wire configurations for installation flexibility. Configuration one uses double-end wiring, supplying live and neutral power from both ends of the fixture. Configuration two uses single-end wiring, supplying live and neutral power only at the designated and marked end of the tube. Both configurations require bypassing and removing the existing ballast prior to installation. The G-13 bi-pin base fits standard 4-foot T8 fluorescent fixture sockets with no mechanical modification required.

With a rated average life of 40,000 hours, this LED T8 BLB tube delivers substantially longer service life than the 15,000-hour rating typical of comparable 32W T8 fluorescent BLB lamps, reducing replacement frequency in demanding environments. The 280-degree beam angle provides wide, even UV distribution across the fixture. The lamp is not dimmable and does not require a warm-up period, reaching full UV output instantly upon energization.
