The OSRAM HLX 64621 is a precision 100W, 12V low-voltage halogen lamp built for demanding optical and special-purpose applications including photo projection, aircraft lighting, microscopy, medical and scientific fiber optic systems, and stage and studio use. It is sold individually and fits fixtures requiring a two-pin PG22 base.

The HLX designation identifies OSRAM's XENOPHOT halogen technology, in which xenon replaces krypton as the fill gas inside the quartz envelope. This xenon fill reduces the rate of tungsten vaporization, supports a higher filament temperature, and delivers up to 10% higher luminous efficacy compared to standard halogen lamps of equivalent wattage.

Precise filament alignment is achieved through OSRAM's patented quartz pinch technology, making this halogen lamp especially well suited to optical assemblies where consistent light placement and stable output are critical. The lamp provides 2,880 lumens of initial output at a color temperature of 3300K with a perfect color rendering index of 100, ensuring accurate, full-spectrum illumination across its rated 2000 hours of average service life.

This halogen lamp switches on instantly with nearly constant luminous flux maintained over its entire life, and it is fully dimmable for applications that require adjustable light levels.
