The Norman Lamps LED-T812-48-BLB is a 12.5W LED T8 Black Light Blue tube engineered as a direct replacement for 32W T8 BLB fluorescent lamps. This 48-inch LED tube operates on a wide-range 120-277V input and uses Type B ballast bypass wiring, delivering direct AC line voltage to the lamp and eliminating the fluorescent ballast from the circuit to reduce energy consumption and ongoing maintenance.

Emitting ultraviolet-A energy with a peak wavelength of 370nm, this LED black light tube produces the characteristic deep blue-violet glow that causes fluorescent dyes, pigments, and UV-reactive materials to visibly fluoresce while minimizing stray visible light. The UV-A output in the 315nm-400nm range makes this LED T8 tube well suited for inspection work, forensic and scientific applications, counterfeit currency and document verification, stage and nightclub effects, Halloween and holiday displays, and decorative lighting installations.

Installation uses the standard G-13 bi-pin base, so the tube drops into existing 4-foot T8 fluorescent sockets with no mechanical modification. The LED-T812-48-BLB supports two direct-wire configurations: double-end wiring, which supplies live and neutral from both ends of the fixture, and single-end wiring, which supplies live and neutral only at the designated marked end. Both configurations require bypassing and removing the existing ballast prior to installation to ensure proper operation and safety.

Rated for 40,000 life hours, this LED T8 BLB tube provides substantially longer service than the 15,000-hour rating typical of comparable 32W T8 fluorescent BLB lamps, cutting replacement frequency in demanding environments. The 280-degree beam spread provides broad, even UV-A coverage across the illuminated area. Certified to UL, RoHS, and CE standards, the tube measures 48.0 inches in length and 1.00 inch in diameter, and is non-dimmable.
